Artistic Gymnastics Apparatus
Apparatus in Artistic Gymnastic has a vital role in the display of these fantastic and amazing acts. As we know that artistic gymnastic is one of the three varieties that gymnastics occur. In artistic gymnastic, Men and Women, both are allowed to compete in this form of Gymnastics. Men participate in Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Still Rings, Vault, Parallel Bars, and High Bar, while women in Vault, Uneven Bars, Beam, and Floor Exercise. The apparatus used in these exercises are as under.
Vault
Each gymnasts run down a distance about 25 meter and land on a beat board , on the hands, on the vaulting horse or vaulting table, then spring to a platform of a two footed landing. Vaults are usually judged on the speed of the run, the length of the hurdle, the power and strength the gymnast. In 2001 the traditional vaulting horse was replaced with a new apparatus, sometimes known as a tongue or table. The introduction of new apparatus makes it more stable.
Uneven Bars
On the uneven bars or asymmetric bars, the gymnast navigates two horizontal bars set at different heights. The height is generally fixed, but the width may be adjusted. Gymnasts perform swinging, circling, transitional, and release moves, as well as moves that pass through the handstand. In this routine bars play a role of apparatus.
