Female Gymnast

Gymnastic provide both male and female gymnasts to take part .Generally there is a misconception that it is a hard game .In real it is but it doesn't abstain females from participating in it' various categories. Females are usually considered as weaker sex but they too can participate in these skillful sports provided they work hard. The sports of gymnastics have produced many male gymnasts as well as female gymnasts who won laurels for their homeland. Even the first perfect ten score record is named after a female Gymnast; Nadia Comaneci. She scored a perfect ten in Olympic 1976 in Montréal. By scoring a perfect ten, she became an inspiration for both male and female gymnasts. From then and onwards, she has been an inspiration for every gymnast.

Gymnastics is a sport where you are required to develop your skills to act according to the rhythm timely. This not only is fun but also maintains the body in good rhythm and shape. Female gymnastics is also an interesting one and contains many interesting gymnastic acts. Gymnastics need timely actions and a balanced body through out these actions. Female Gymnastic comprise of these types of gymnastic Artistic, Trampoline and Rhythmic. The female gymnasts perform with four pieces of equipment: namely gymnastic Vault, Uneven Bars, gymnastic Balance Beam and gymnastic Floor Exercises in Artistic Gymnastic. The events in Artistic gymnastics are as follows:

Gymnastic Vault: It has the same routine as in the men's event. The Horse is lowered to a height of 1.2 m (3.9 ft) and is approached from the side.

Gymnastic Uneven bars: In this stage the routine is performed on a set of two flexible bars a maximum of 4.7 ft apart from each other at different heights. The upper bar is between 7.7 and 7.9 ft from the floor; the lower bar is placed parallel to it and 4.6 and 5.2 ft above the floor. The routine involves swinging, releasing, and changing of direction over, under, and between the bars with a mount and dismount.

Gymnastics balancing beam: This routine is performed on a single beam 16.4 ft long, and 3.9 ft off the ground. It also involves continuous tumbling moves, turns, jumps, and leaps. A mount and dismount are also required.

Gymnastic Floor exercise: It is a routine performed without apparatus on a floor mat the same size as the men's, about 40 ft square. The routine is performed to music and similar to men's in procedure. Rhythmic Gymnastics is different from the other types of gymnastics. The display of Rhythmic Gymnastic appears to be a combination of dance and gymnastics. Using ribbons, a rope, a hoop, a ball, or a club a female gymnast performs in Rhythmic Gymnastic. The trampoline form of gymnastics comprises of ten different acts by a gymnast, maintaining their balance and bouncing on a Gymnastic trampoline. In all forms of gymnastics the body of the gymnast has to act in a smooth momentum to display a good gymnastic act. In short, all types of gymnastics are full of entertainment and fun but quite demanding in the sense that a lot of hard working.

Some of the famous women gymnasts were Nadia Comenci of Romania, who won ten out ten in Olympics 1976. Another female gymnast E.Szabo of the same country won in Pommel horse vault and floor exercise in Olympic 1984. In the same competition, L.Funa of China won medal in Rhythmic all-round gymnastic performance. These female gymnasts proved their mettles in the field of gymnastics and made a point that females can also participate in such hard sports.
