Olympic Gymnasts
Olympic Gymnastic is a significant competition of the world of Gymnastic sports as these are held among some of the world's finest athletes who are considered the best of their country. Gymnastics is also tough sports which are highly demanding in terms of skills and hard work. The gymnasts work hard to prove their mettle in their respective category either it be Artistic, Rhythmic or Trampoline one. All categories of Gymnastics are embraced with total excitement and thrill.
It is very necessary to have a healthy diet for the gymnasts to have an ideal weight. This weight is according to ideal gymnast height. For this reason, the gymnasts are urged to maintain a balanced diet as they should be neither under weight nor over weight. The weight for a female gymnast surely has a wide difference in it because of the difference in strength. But some of the gymnast do not care about that and in need to increase up their performance they eat a lot so as to gain energy. But this may not help them as it might result in to eating disorders as was in case of Amy Chow, a female gymnast was found with eating disorders in Olympics Competition in 2000.This incident was reported when she was unable to perform and fainted. This was one case in Olympics with eating disorders.

The Olympic Competition 2004 was held in Athens, Greece. Gymnasts of the world participated in the event. The Olympic medals of gold, silver and bronze were awarded on good, better best performance. Japan was declared as the best in all-round performance.The Japanese team comprising of Takehiro Kashima Hisashi Mizutori Daisuke Nakano Hiroyuki Tomita Naoya Tsukahara and Isao Yoneda won gold. The United States team comprising of Jason Gatson Morgan Hamm Paul Hamm Brett McClure Blaine Wilson and Guard Young won silver and Romanian team Marian Dragulescu Ilie Daniel Popescu Dan Nicolae Potra Razvan Dorin Selariu Ioan Silviu Suciu Marius Daniel Urzica won bronze in this category.
For Individual all-around performance Paul Hamm of United States got gold, Kim Dae-Jung of South Korea won silver and Yang Tae-Young of South Korea was declared as third and won bronze medal.
The gold medalists of Olympic 2004 were Kyle Shewfelt of Canada in floor, Igor Cassina of Italy in horizontal bar, Valeri Goncharov of Ukraine in parallel bars, Teng Haibin of China, in Pommel horse, Dimosthenis Tampakos of Greece, in Rings and Gervasio Deferr of Spain in Vault routine.
In women's Team all-around performance, Team Romania comprising of Oana Ban, Alexandra Eremia. Catalina Ponor, Monica Rosu, Nicoleta Daniela Sofronie and Silvia Stroescu declared as first, team of United States comprising of Mohini Bhardwaj, Annia Hatch ,Terin Humphrey, Courtney Kupets, Courtney McCool and Carly Patterson secured silver and team Russia consisting of Liudmila Ezhova, Svetlana Khorkina ,Maria Krioutchkova, Anna Pavlova, Elena Zamolodchikova and Natalia Ziganchina won bronze for their performance.
Carly Patterson of United States secured gold, Svetlana Khorkina of Russia secured silver and Zhang Nan of China secured bronze in Individual female all-around performance.
The female gold medalist of different other categories at Olympics were Catalina Ponor of Romania in balancing beam. In Floor, Catalina Ponor of Romania .In Uneven bars Émilie Le Pennec of France. In Vault Monica Rosu of Romania .In Rhythmic gymnastics for Best All-around team performance, Russia got gold, Italy got silver and Bulgaria got bronze. Individual all-around Alina Kabaeva of Russia got gold; Irina Tchachina of Russia got silver and Anna Bess nova of Ukraine got bronze. In Trampoline event, in Men's individual performance, Yuri Nikitin of Ukraine got gold, Alexander Moskalenko of Russia got silver and Henrik Stehlik of Germany got bronze. For Women's individual trampoline performance; Anna Dogonadze of Germany won gold, Karen Cockburn of Canada won silver and Huang Shanshan of China won bronze; making Olympic Competition 2004 a dream come true for their homelands.
