By the Olympic Games in 1954, the apparatus and events for both men and women had been structured and standardized uniformly in modern format giving rise to a smooth grading system involving a point system from 1 to 10. In these Competitions, the Soviet gymnasts surprised the world with their resilience and won laurels for their homeland. By then, the Olympic competitions were telecast on Television which made these sports rose to height of fame. In the year 2006, a new points system was enacted in Olympic Trampoline scoring. Instead of marking from 1 to 10.Now each exercise is provided with difficulty ratings, the gymnast's start value depends on the exercise routine.

In addition to that the deductions in points for any lapse became higher. Earlier to this point system, the deduction in old system was 0.5 for a fall now after the application of new point system the deduction rose to 0.8.

The scoring system has now become so tight that it is now impossible to score ten out of ten points. The only first perfect ten was scored by a Romanian gymnast Nadia Comaneci; she scored a perfect ten in Olympic 1976 in Montréal. But that was according to the old format. Usually the Professional competitions are held on a competitive Trampoline. The Olympic competition also uses Competitive trampoline. The Olympic trampoline is framed with steel. It can be folded as per use. The Olympic trampoline bed is rectangular in shape and 428 cm by 214 cm in size fitted into the 520cm x 305cm (17' x 10') frame with 110 steel springs. The bed is made of a strong fabric which is not elastic itself. This is an internationally recognized size for Olympic Trampoline. The elasticity in trampoline bed is provided by the springs. The Olympic medals are awarded in Gold, Silver and Bronze in comparison to good, better and best performer in each category. Some of the famous female gymnasts who won medals from gold, silver to bronze, for their homeland in Trampoline Olympic competitions wereYuri Nikitin of Ukraine, Alexander Moskalenko of Russia and Henrik Stehlik of Germany in men individual performance where as Anna Dogonadze of Germany, Karen Cockburn of Canada, and Huang Shanshan of China won in women individual in Olympics in 2004 held in Athens, Greece.
